cross-platform guide

Troubleshooting and safe diagnostics

Source-backed diagnostic paths for documented AnyPS5 input, runtime, and conversion errors.

Prerequisites

  • The exact stderr or error text from a local, lawful attempt.
  • The matching pinned upstream documentation before changing inputs or runtime layout.

Documented workflow

Usage documents SELF containers as errors and requires one valid bundled-module directory arrangement. Recheck the input tree before adding flags; several bypass flags are documented as deprecated and unstable.

Upstream says original PS5 modules in libs/ can cause error 193. For error 126, check the documented MinGW runtime DLLs beside self-built Windows libs; release archives include them.

Usage documents [gpu] open /dev/udmabuf: Permission denied and BDA access failed. Review the system-specific device access and size_limit_mb discussion in the official guide; this site does not prescribe privilege changes.

The README says unsupported or unexpected states throw std::runtime_error and print what() to stderr. Preserve that text and compare it with upstream documentation; do not interpret it as a confirmed fix path.

Limits and safety

  • Only exact error signatures documented upstream are listed.
  • Documented upstream; not locally executed by AnyPS5.site.
  • Do not bypass DRM, disable security controls, or download unknown binaries to address an error.
